No. Compression and comparison happen in your browser, and your image files are not uploaded to Toolkitta. Keep this tab open until you download your results; closing or reloading it clears the current batch. Website hosting and performance measurement are described in our Privacy notice.

Add JPG (.jpg or .jpeg), PNG, WebP, HEIC/HEIF, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, ICO or TIFF images by choosing files, dragging them in, or pasting an image with Ctrl+V / ⌘V while you are not typing in a field. You can add up to 20 images, 20 MB per file, and 100 MB per batch. Images must be no more than 40 megapixels or 16,384 pixels on either side. Unless you add Format, the original format is kept where the browser can write it (JPG, PNG, WebP), so a HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG or ICO file is saved as JPG (or PNG when it has transparency) and the row says so. Animated GIF, WebP and PNG keep their first frame only. Smaller PNG mode supports output up to 8 megapixels; JPEG images above 16 megapixels use the faster encoder to limit memory use.

Keep original format is the safest starting point. JPEG is useful for photos and broad compatibility. PNG keeps transparency and offers lossless compression for graphics and screenshots. WebP can be a smaller option for websites and supports transparency; check that your destination accepts it. Add Format from the Also row to choose one; when converting to JPEG, transparent areas use the background colour you pick there.

JPEG and WebP use lossy compression, so some detail can change. PNG is lossless by default at unchanged dimensions. Smaller PNG mode reduces the image to up to 256 colors and may change gradients or transparent edges. Resizing also changes pixels. Use Compare and zoom in before downloading. Under Encoding options, JPEG’s Smaller file option takes longer than Faster processing.

Choose Target size and enter your limit per image. Toolkitta searches for a result at or below that limit, but some targets cannot be reached. Original dimensions are kept unless you add Resize or explicitly allow smaller dimensions. If the target is missed, you can download the result, raise the limit, or try the resize option. Format never changes automatically. KB here means 1,000 bytes.

Yes. Add Rotate/Flip, Resize (pixels, percent, longest side or a platform preset) or Format (JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF) from the Also row and they run in the same pass as compression, with one encode per image. Settings apply to the whole batch. After processing, open Compare → Adjust this image to give one image its own format, longest side, quality or PNG compression; the result side previews each change within a moment, and Apply keeps it. Each adjustment starts from the original file, and the image keeps its own settings when the batch runs again. Changing batch settings clears previous results.

Hover a finished image and click Compare. Use Split, Original, or Result view, then choose Fit, 100%, or 200% zoom. Drag the divider or use its arrow keys; drag a zoomed image to inspect it. Resized results are aligned with the original for comparison. Download images individually, or use Download ZIP when two or more are ready. Cancel stops processing and keeps completed results.

Already-small images may not benefit from another compression pass. If the format and dimensions are unchanged and the original is smaller, Toolkitta keeps the original. Re-encoded images lose embedded metadata; untouched originals retain it, and lossless PNG optimization may retain metadata. This tool is not a guaranteed metadata remover.
