Change Audio Volume
Make a quiet recording louder, turn a loud one down, or bring a whole batch to the same level. A limiter keeps boosted peaks from crackling, you can preview first, and nothing is uploaded.

How to make audio louder or quieter
- Add up to 20 audio files: MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, Ogg, Opus or WebM, 500 MB each. Each file is measured, and its row shows its loudness and loudest peak.
- Choose Louder or quieter and a change from −6 dB to +10 dB (or Custom, ±20 dB), Even out to bring every file to about −16 LUFS, or Maximize to raise each file until its loudest moment reaches −1 dB.
- Click Preview 10 seconds to hear the result, then Change volume. Listen to each file and download one or a ZIP in MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC.

How much louder is +6 dB?
Clearly louder. About +10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud, and −10 dB about half as loud. Small steps of 1–3 dB are enough to match two files that are nearly the same.
Will boosting the volume distort the sound?
Digital audio has a ceiling, and a boost that pushes peaks past it would crackle. Here a limiter lowers the level just around those peaks so they stay under −1 dB, and each row says how much it will hold back. A very large boost on a recording that is already loud can still sound squashed; choose a smaller change or Maximize.
What is the difference between Even out and Maximize?
Even out matches how loud files sound (their average loudness in LUFS), so a batch of voice notes or songs plays at one level. Maximize matches only the loudest peak, so nothing is limited, but a file with one sudden loud moment may barely change.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Measuring, the volume change and encoding all run in your browser. Encoder code is downloaded from this site the first time a format needs it; your audio never leaves your device.
