How to trim audio
- Add one MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, Ogg or WebM audio file.
- Drag across the waveform to select a section, then move its handles to refine it. Tap to place the playhead, or open Exact times to enter precise seconds. Play the selection and add a short fade if you want softer edges.
- Choose MP3, WAV, M4A or FLAC and click Trim audio. Listen to the result, then download or send it to another audio tool.

Are my files uploaded?
No. The file is read and processed in your browser. Encoder code may download from our site when a format is first used, but your audio is never sent.
Can I cut to an exact time?
Yes. Open Exact times to type start and end in seconds to two decimal places, or use the waveform handles and arrow keys. Play selection before exporting.
Does this change the original?
No. The original file remains untouched. Download the new clip after you preview it.
