Merge PDF

Combine PDFs into one document, in the order you choose. Original page sizes and quality stay intact.

Your PDFs are never uploaded

Filled forms are supported: their values become read-only in the merged PDF. Encrypted PDFs, XFA forms and digital signatures are not supported.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Add at least two PDFs. Each row shows its page count and a preview of the first page.
  2. Drag files into order, use the up and down arrows, or choose Sort by name. Pages inside each file keep their original order.
  3. Choose a filename, click Merge PDFs, and download the result. Use Send to → PDF to Image if you need pictures of the finished pages.

For a mix of photos and PDFs, create a PDF from your photos with Image to PDF, then send that result here and add your other documents.

Useful details

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. Reading, previewing and merging happen in your browser. File contents and filenames are not sent to Toolkitta. Keep this tab open until you download the result; reloading clears the session. Website hosting and performance measurement are described in our Privacy notice.

Does merging reduce quality or make text unselectable?

Pages are copied directly into the new PDF. Text, vector drawings and images remain page content; pages are not converted into screenshots. Existing selectable text stays selectable, while a scan without a text layer remains a scan. Page sizes and rotation are retained, including documents with a mix of portrait and landscape pages.

What are the limits?

Add two to twenty PDFs, up to 50 MB each and 200 MB combined. The finished document can contain up to 300 pages. Large documents can use considerable browser memory; if your device struggles, combine fewer files at a time. The output is not compressed and may be larger than the inputs.

Can I merge password-protected PDFs, forms or signed documents?

Standard PDF forms are accepted. Filled text, checkboxes and other field appearances are flattened into the pages, so values remain visible but fields cannot be edited in the merged PDF. Fill and save your form before adding it. The original file is unchanged. Encrypted PDFs, XFA forms and signature fields remain unsupported; export an unencrypted, flattened copy in your PDF application first. Keep digitally signed originals separately: a new merged document does not retain their signature validity. Unsupported files remain in the queue with an explanation and must be removed or replaced before merging.

Are bookmarks, links and metadata preserved?

The tool copies pages, not the whole document structure. Bookmarks, attachments and document-level settings are not carried over. Links that refer to other pages may need to be recreated. Embedded page data can remain, so merging is not a metadata-removal or sanitization tool. Review the result before distributing it.

Can I change the order or add more files?

Yes. Drag a file onto another row, move it with the arrow buttons, or sort filenames in natural order so chapter-2 comes before chapter-10. All pages from each PDF stay together. Adding, removing or reordering a file clears the previous result so your next download matches the current queue. Individual page editing and splitting are not included.
