How to make a video louder or quieter
- Add up to 20 MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM videos, 500 MB each. Each video's sound is measured, and its row shows its loudness and loudest peak.
- Choose Louder or quieter and a change from −6 dB to +10 dB (or Custom, ±20 dB), Even out to bring every video to about −16 LUFS, or Maximize to raise each one until its loudest moment reaches −1 dB. Play a preview to hear the new level.

How much louder is +6 dB?
Clearly louder. About +10 dB sounds roughly twice as loud, and −10 dB about half as loud. For a phone video where speech is hard to hear, start with +6 dB or Even out.
Will boosting the volume distort the sound?
A boost that pushes peaks past full scale would crackle. Here a limiter lowers the level just around those peaks so they stay under −1 dB, and each row says how much it will hold back. A very large boost on a clip that is already loud can still sound squashed; choose a smaller change or Maximize.
What is the difference between Even out and Maximize?
Even out matches how loud videos sound (their average loudness in LUFS), so clips from different phones or cameras play at one level. Maximize matches only the loudest peak, so nothing is limited, but a clip with one sudden loud moment may barely change.
Does the picture lose quality?
No. The video stream is copied into the new MP4 without re-encoding. Only when you add Resize, Speed or Compress under Also is the picture re-encoded.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Measuring, the volume change and saving all happen in your browser on this device, and there is no watermark.
