Which ratio should I use?

9:16 is the full-screen vertical format for Reels, TikTok, Shorts and Stories. 1:1 and 4:5 fill most of a feed. 16:9 suits YouTube, presentations and TVs.

Can I crop a vertical phone video to landscape?

Yes. Choose 16:9 and move the frame to the part you want to keep. The result is narrower in height, as no pixels are invented.

Does cropping lower the quality?

The kept area is re-encoded at a high quality. The result has fewer pixels than the original because the outside has been removed.

Is my video uploaded?

No. The frame, the crop and the encoding all happen in your browser on this device.
