About Batch and Interactive Editor

How to use Interactive Editor

  1. Choose Interactive Editor to open batch originals on separate pages, or choose images directly in the editor.
  2. Type over TOP TEXT and BOTTOM TEXT, or choose Text to add more captions, then move and style them. Use Pages to move between photos; each page keeps its own edits.
  3. Choose a format, use Export image, then download the result. Export all pages (ZIP) saves every page. Save project keeps layers editable.

Switching to the editor opens originals on separate pages. Each page is edited individually, with no Apply to all pages. Batch settings and results stay separate from editor edits. Switching back restores each mode's session until reload.

Export one editor page or all pages as a ZIP. Save project keeps editable layers and embedded original image bytes, including original metadata. Exported images are rebuilt from pixels and do not retain that metadata.

How it works

Batch: how to make a meme

  1. Add a photo, or up to 20 images — JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG, ICO or TIFF. They stay in your browser.
  2. Type the Top text and Bottom text. Leave either empty for a single caption. Choose the Meme font or Bold sans and a starting Size; long captions wrap and shrink to fit.
  3. Check the preview, then make the meme and download it, or every image as a ZIP. Add Resize, Format or Compress for a smaller file to share.

How do I make a meme from my own photo?

Add the photo, type the top and bottom text and add it. The captions are drawn in bold white capitals with a black outline at the top and bottom of the picture. Download the result as JPG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.

Does the meme get a watermark?

No. Nothing is added besides your captions, and there is no signup or limit beyond 20 images of up to 20 MB at a time.

What if my caption is too long?

Each caption wraps onto more lines and shrinks until it fits across the picture and within about a third of its height. Shorter captions read better at a glance.

Can I put text in the middle or add more captions?

Yes, in Interactive Editor. Each photo opens with top and bottom meme captions you can type on, move, resize and restyle, and you can add more text boxes, stickers, arrows or drawings.

Are there ready-made meme templates?

No. Popular meme pictures belong to their owners, so Meme Generator works on photos you choose. To make a text-only meme, start a blank canvas in the Interactive Image Editor.

How is this different from Add Text to Image?

Meme Generator places the classic meme layout for you: heavy outlined capitals at the top and bottom that wrap and shrink to fit. Add Text to Image places one line of text anywhere, with a box or outline, for captions, labels and dates.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Previewing and making memes happen in your browser. Keep the tab open until you download; reloading clears the batch. Website hosting and performance measurement are described in our Privacy notice.
