Yes. Each image has its own Rotate left, Rotate right and Flip buttons, so a batch can mix upright and sideways photos. The buttons under Every image add the same turn to all of them; Reset all puts every image back upright. Images you did not turn keep their original file, unless you added Resize, Format or Compress.

Rotating turns the picture around its centre, like turning a printed photo on a table. Flipping mirrors it: Flip horizontal swaps left and right, which fixes selfies and scans where text reads backwards, and Flip vertical turns it upside down as a mirror image.

Yes. Any angle turns every image clockwise by up to 180° either way, after its own turns. The whole picture is kept, so the image grows and gains corners: PNG and WebP leave them transparent, and JPG fills them with the colour you choose. To straighten a horizon and crop the corners away instead, use Image Cropper's Straighten.

Phones often save photos sideways with a tag that tells apps to turn them for display. Browsers and most apps follow the tag, but some upload forms and older programs do not. The saved image here has its turn built into the pixels and no tag, so it looks the same everywhere.

A quarter turn or flip moves pixels without changing them, but the file is saved again: JPG at quality 90, which is hard to tell from the original, PNG losslessly. A custom angle has to blend neighbouring pixels, so it softens detail very slightly. Add Compress to choose a quality yourself.
